An Enrolment management plan was implemented at Isabella State School in 2007 to ensure:

  • the growth of the school is managed so that facilities and resources are not over extended

  • students have the opportunity to attend their closest State School.

Enrolment of students from outside the local catchment area will be managed to ensure that the total current and forecast enrolments do not exceed the school's current capacity and, where applicable, will ensure there is an even spread of students across year levels or class groupings.

Students from outside the school's catchment area applying for enrolment at that school are placed on a waiting list in order of receipt of application.

Please contact the school for more detailed information. Documentation of proof of residency in the catchment area will be requested on enrolment and could consist of Rental agreement, rates notice, bill of sale for house or land, etc.

The catchment area for Isabella State School is outlined on the Education Queensland website.

Enrolment packages are available at the school for families wishing to enrol children at Isabella State School or listed below for you to download. Please contact the school office for further information.

Interviews for prospective students and their parents are conducted with the Principal or Deputy Principal throughout the year. At this interview families will be asked to provide the prospective student's birth certificate for sighting. The enrolment interview includes discussion and familiarisation with important school policies and procedures including school expectations and sharing of our school vision.

Enrolment forms required

  1. Your child’s Birth certificate
  2. Proof of your residential address (e.g, rates notice, tenancy agreement)
  3. Relevant medical reports
  4. Relevant legal court orders
  5. Relevant visa details
  6. Completed forms from the enrolment pack:

Student Resources

In line with Queensland Department of Education policy and approved and endorsed by our P&C, our Student Resource Scheme (SRS) includes stationery and education supplies.

For families, this means we do not have a booklist, parents just need to return the SRS Participation Agreement and pay the SRS invoice by the due date. All resources included in the scheme will be in their child's classroom on their first day of school.

You can opt-out of the scheme, however, you will need to provide the resources that would usually be covered in the scheme. Please contact our office staff if you would like to opt-out.

More information is contained in this Student Resource Scheme handout.
