Isabella State School has a Guidance Officer (GO), Michelle Teasdale.
Our GO works with staff, parents and carers, often in conjunction with specialists and other community agencies to ensure educational access and participation in school life for all students. Our GO also provides counselling, psycho-educational assessment and individual student support to assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and development.
For academic concerns, it is usually best to talk to your child’s classroom teacher who can make a referral for support or assessment. However, parents are also welcome to contact the Guidance Officer regarding concerns about their child by making an appointment through the school administration office.
